AND SO WE MOURN

And so we mourn….
I was told the passing of time will heal all wounds…..
But as the days fly by, even greater pain do I feel….
For Seconds pass into Minutes…., Minutes into Hours,…
Hours into Days…Days in Weeks…Weeks into Months
Months..into..Years
….And so We Mourn

They say my grief will fade with time
All I feel is an emptiness, a void that cannot be filled…
A footprint of sadness that a thousand footprints of a million life times of walking this earth’s surface cannot fill…
…And so We Mourn

It is said that the deeper the cuts, The deeper the wounds.
My heart bleeds,
My soul dries out of thirst for that which cannot be quenched.
Once again I have drank from the bitter side of the cup of life..
And life has fed me a concoction of death and loss of over a hundred and half souls..
With tears of sadness I watched on helplessly, as they struggle to survive the burning and drowning only to be crushed within the icy hands of death..
And So We Mourn............................

The Biggest tree may not have fallen, the fattest cow may not need to be sacrificed,
But the many seedlings that may one day produce the tallest tree, are dying and along with it, the calves.
They have journeyed into the land of no return
Leaving many; Motherless, fatherless, childless, widows, widowers..and the nation in a state of grief,...
And so we mourn

You may be gone,
You all may never walk among us, eat with us, Laugh at our jokes, lend us a helping hand or put food on our table.
But you will never be forgotten.
You will always live on in our hearts
Death is but a relief from this world,
Till we meet again...
May your souls rest in Perfect peace.
